Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and virtual patient assessments using evidence-based triage protocols
- Provide accurate medical advice and prioritize patient cases based on clinical urgency
- Document patient interactions and outcomes in our electronic health record system
- Collaborate with physicians and care coordinators to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Utilize telemedicine technology to deliver remote consultations to underserved communities
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Act as a clinical resource for patients navigating the healthcare system
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Florida RN license (or compact license with ability to obtain Florida license)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience with at least 1 year in triage/urgent care
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Proficiency with telemedicine platforms and EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated empathy in high-pressure situations
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships
- Experience with pediatric and adult patient populations
