Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, hobbies, and social activities to combat loneliness.
- Medication Reminders: Gently remind clients to take prescribed medications on time.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and appetizing meals according to dietary requirements.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning tasks such as laundry, dusting, and vacuuming to ensure a safe environment.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social events as needed.
- Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in the client's physical or mental condition to the Care Manager.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide is preferred but not always required.
- Licensing: Valid Driver's License and proof of auto insurance are required.
- Compassion: A genuine desire to help others and a patient, caring demeanor.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
