Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Take vital signs and document resident observations accurately
- Provide mobility support and assist with transfers using proper techniques
- Administer medications under RN supervision per facility protocols
- Collaborate with nursing staff to create and implement care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and resident-friendly environment
- Report changes in resident condition promptly to nursing leadership
Qualifications
- Active California CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year recent CNA experience in long-term care setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for geriatric care and commitment to resident dignity
- Clear TB test and physical exam within the last year
- Reliable transportation with flexible availability
