Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and document vital signs, health status, and resident preferences
- Assist with medication administration under RN supervision
- Support residents with mobility using proper transfer techniques
- Engage residents in therapeutic activities and social programs
- Maintain clean, safe environments through proper infection control protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop resident care plans
Qualifications
- Active California CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year experience in long-term care or assisted living
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and empathy for elderly population
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Valid California driver's license preferred
- TB test and health clearance required
