Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers safely.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with the nursing staff and healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients at all times.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the registered nurse or physician.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the State of Texas.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
  • Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred but not required.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
