Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist nursing staff with patient mobilization and transferring patients safely using proper body mechanics.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment at all times.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the charge nurse immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed personnel.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (NCA or equivalent state certification).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Physical stamina to assist patients of varying sizes and mobility levels.
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
