Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with feeding and hydration as directed by the nursing staff.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure continuity of care and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active Florida CNA Certification (CNA 1 or CNA 2).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of basic medical terminology and patient care procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
