Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide basic hygiene care and maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.
- Transport patients to and from examination rooms, surgery, or other locations as needed.
- Document patient care plans, daily updates, and any changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR).
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Oregon CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a CNA in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Commitment to patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
