Responsibilities
- Perform basic patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs and medical history.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures with a high degree of accuracy.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments to maintain strict hygiene standards.
- Fax, scan, and file patient charts accurately into the electronic health record (EHR).
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding test results and follow-up care instructions.
- Answer phones and manage front desk duties when needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is a plus.
- Strong desire to learn and grow within the healthcare field.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor toward patients.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work a full-time schedule.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Background check and drug screening required.
