Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the RN.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Adhere to all facility policies and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (valid in California).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience is preferred but not always required for high-performers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs as needed.
