Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify their personal and insurance information accurately.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean environment.
- Perform basic lab tests, administer injections, and take EKGs as directed.
- Record vital signs and update medical records in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage prescription refills.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Previous medical assisting experience is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with EMR/EHR systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
