Responsibilities
- Delight patients with personalized assistance in daily activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Accurately document patient observations and vital signs in electronic health records
- Collaborate seamlessly with RNs and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Uphold strict infection control protocols and safety standards at all times
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance patients' quality of life
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active California CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care or long-term experience
- CPR certification and BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional communication skills and empathy for elderly patients
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability (including weekends)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Experience with EMR systems preferred
