Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs throughout the night shift to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Medication Administration: accurately administer prescribed medications and treatments while adhering to strict safety protocols and state regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely electronic health records (EHR) for all assigned patients.
- Crisis Management: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist the team in stabilizing critical patients.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide holistic care.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to hospital hygiene and infection control standards to prevent hospital-acquired infections.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, especially in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
