Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with gowns and drapes and positioning them.
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, height, and weight.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer injections, and draw blood samples as directed by physicians.
- Update and file patient medical records, ensuring accurate charting of treatments and medications.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, diet, and follow-up care instructions.
- Assist the nursing team with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred but not required for entry-level applicants.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check.
