Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures, including sterilizing instruments and setting up trays
- Assist dentists during treatments, including passing instruments and managing suction
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and digital charting systems
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies efficiently
- Ensure operatory cleanliness and compliance with OSHA standards
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years chairside experience in a general practice
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and infection control knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
