Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, crowns, and implant placements
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction management, and patient monitoring
- Execute digital radiography and intraoral imaging with precision and patient comfort
- Manage sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance across all operatories
- Coordinate patient flow, schedule coordination, and treatment plan documentation
- Deliver post-operative care instructions and patient education materials
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering for clinical efficiency
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant certification or registration
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Mastery of digital imaging systems (DEXIS, Sirona) and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification with current credentials
- Proven ability to maintain calm demeanor during emergency situations
- Exceptional attention to detail in charting and documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient rapport and team collaboration
