Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments via phone or in-person to determine the urgency of care needs.
- Make appropriate clinical referrals to physicians, specialists, or emergency services based on triage protocols.
- Document patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Educate patients on self-care management and medication adherence.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and hospital policies.
- Handle high call volumes while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in triage nursing, telehealth, or emergency nursing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a high-pressure setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
