Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery and restorative treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms according to OSHA protocols
- Take accurate dental radiographs and perform chairside assistance for various procedures
- Manage patient scheduling, recall systems, and digital chart documentation
- Provide exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Order and maintain dental supplies and inventory management
Qualifications
- Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) certification or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- CPR/BLS certification from a recognized provider
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
