As a key member of our dispensary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the medications they need safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Accurately verify and process prescriptions for dispensing under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
- Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve billing and coverage issues.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and retrieving pharmaceutical products.
- Prepare medications for patients, including counting tablets, measuring liquids, and labeling containers.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions regarding prescriptions, drug interactions, and general health information.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized pharmacy environment to comply with health regulations.
- Assist with the processing of insurance claims and prior authorizations.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform math calculations accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with pharmacy management software.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols.
