Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient charts and digital dental records using Eaglesoft software
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms and dental materials for optimal efficiency
- Deliver post-operative care instructions to patients
- Coordinate with front office staff for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency with digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Valid Louisiana dental radiography permit
