Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments via phone or secure video to determine the severity of symptoms and appropriate level of care.
- Provide expert medical triage and advice within the scope of practice, including treatment recommendations, medication verification, and symptom management.
- Coordinate referrals and specialist appointments when necessary, ensuring seamless continuity of care for all patients.
- Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to maintain compliance and medical accuracy.
- Manage urgent care pathways by distinguishing between urgent, emergent, and non-urgent conditions to direct patients to the correct facility.
- Utilize provided medical equipment and telehealth platforms to facilitate virtual consults and remote patient monitoring.
- Stay current with clinical protocols and adhere to all company policies, HIPAA regulations, and state licensure requirements.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Texas.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in a hospital, urgent care, or telehealth setting, with specific triage experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and empathetically.
- Proficiency in navigating Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure while making critical decisions regarding patient care.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and data privacy standards.
