Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems
- Order dental supplies and maintain inventory
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Coordinate scheduling and assist with front desk operations
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-issued)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral cameras
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques (OSHA compliance)
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with Eaglesoft or DentalSoft software preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
