Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare and serve meals according to special dietary requirements and personal preferences.
- Monitor client health by observing physical symptoms, recording vital signs, and reporting any changes to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients to reduce feelings of isolation and depression.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, bed making, and cleaning living areas to ensure a safe environment.
- Assist with mobility issues, including transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs safely.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with communication if needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Texas driver's license and current auto insurance.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
