Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs
- Provide light housekeeping and transportation to medical appointments
- Document client progress and report concerns to care coordinators
- Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of professional home health aide experience
- Valid Texas HHA certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
