Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify their information upon arrival.
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures.
- Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and symptoms.
- Prepare patients for examination and assist during the visit.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
