We are looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team at Sacramento Family Health Center. Due to an immediate expansion in our patient volume, we are urgently seeking a qualified professional to start as soon as possible. Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance details, and collect co-pays efficiently to ensure a smooth check-in process.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, weight, height, and temperature.
- Clinical Assistance: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize medical instruments, and assist providers during patient examinations.
- Admin Duties: Manage appointment scheduling, send appointment reminders, and maintain accurate patient records in the EHR system.
- Injections & Labs: Administer immunizations and perform basic blood draws as directed by the healthcare provider.
- Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification from the AAMA or AMT.
- Licensure: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all backgrounds.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
