Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service rendering
- Resolve claim denials and appeals with 95% first-pass success rate
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Conduct monthly AR analysis and identify denial trends
- Collaborate with clinical staff to document services accurately
- Utilize Epic and NextGen EHR systems for coding and billing
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in specialty practice
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding
- Proficient in claim scrubbing and denial resolution
- Experience with Medicare Advantage and commercial contracts
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage 150+ accounts daily with 98% accuracy
