Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility
- Maintain precise medication records in compliance with NY State regulations
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage and side effects
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient workflow
Qualifications
- Active NY State Pharmacy Technician license required
- Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Certification through PTCB or ExCPT strongly preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting
