Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage medication inventory
- Counsel patients on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and profiles
- Operate pharmacy automation systems and compounding equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for medication therapy management
- Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Pharmacy Technician license (PhT)
- Prior experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- Certification through PTCB or ExCPT preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and abbreviations
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
