Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle sterilization and disinfection of surgical equipment
- Document perioperative care accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and AORN standards
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of surgical tech experience preferred
- Graduation from accredited surgical technology program
- Knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with minimally invasive procedures a plus
