Responsibilities
- Assess patient calls and prioritize medical urgency using standardized protocols
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families during critical moments
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Identify potential emergency situations and initiate appropriate interventions
- Conduct telehealth screenings for remote patient populations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kansas with minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
