Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist customers with medication inquiries, insurance processing, and answering the telephone.
- Perform accurate data entry into the pharmacy management system (e.g., McKesson, Cerner).
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and adheres to all hygiene regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or willingness to obtain certification within 6 months.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred but not required for high-performers.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy software systems.
