Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical history to determine urgency and appropriate care level
- Provide precise medical advice and triage guidance via phone and in-person consultations
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate seamless patient care pathways
- Maintain detailed electronic health records with 100% accuracy and HIPAA compliance
- Handle high-pressure emergency situations with calm professionalism and decisive action
- Implement hospital protocols and evidence-based triage standards consistently
- Train and mentor new nursing staff on triage procedures and patient communication
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with minimum 3 years clinical experience
- BLS/ACLS certification; TNCC or ENPC preferred
- Proven expertise in emergency department or urgent care triage
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Masterful communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in Epic or EHR systems
- BSN or higher degree (MSN candidates strongly encouraged)
