Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person triage assessments to accurately determine the urgency of patient needs.
- Provide expert clinical guidance and treatment recommendations to patients and caregivers in a calm, professional manner.
- Document all interactions, assessments, and treatment plans accurately and timely in the EMR system.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient continuity of care.
- Educate patients on self-care management, preventative health strategies, and medication adherence.
- Manage incoming high-volume calls efficiently while maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered RN license in the State of Kentucky.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience, preferably in a telehealth or triage setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to de-escalate situations effectively.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and computer systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
