Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via telehealth and in-person triage to determine medical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient care based on acuity levels
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with detailed clinical documentation
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and families regarding next steps
- Coordinate care transitions between emergency, urgent care, and specialty services
- Implement triage protocols for mass casualty and high-acuity scenarios
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for triage accuracy
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license with BSN or higher
- Minimum 3 years emergency/urgent care nursing experience
- ENPC or TNCC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications
