Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize emergency cases based on medical urgency
- Provide accurate triage assessments using standardized protocols and clinical judgment
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to coordinate patient care
- Document patient encounters thoroughly in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Offer clear instructions to patients regarding home care or next steps
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow and resource allocation
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with at least 2 years of ER or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Spanish bilingual preferred for serving our diverse community
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
