Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize cases using standardized triage protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate care pathways
- Provide telephone triage for remote patients and coordinate urgent care
- Maintain calm demeanor during high-pressure emergency situations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current NJ RN license with minimum 2 years ER/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in EHR documentation (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities in English and Spanish (bilingual a plus)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends/holidays
- BSN degree preferred
