Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage to determine medical urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop patient treatment plans
- Document patient interactions accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and family members
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for critical cases
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and TJC standards
- Train new staff on triage protocols and procedures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas with at least 2 years clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification; ACLS preferred
- Expertise in emergency/urgent care triage protocols
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- BSN degree strongly preferred
