Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to enhance their quality of life.
- Monitor and report any changes in client health, mood, or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks related to client care.
- Accurately document care provided and any incidents in the patient's medical records in a timely manner.
- Administer medication as directed by the physician and in strict accordance with state regulations.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social activities, and errands using your own vehicle.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Current, valid Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle are mandatory.
- CPR and First Aid certification is highly preferred (we provide training if you are willing to learn).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; must be able to assist patients with mobility needs (up to 50 lbs).
- A compassionate, patient, and genuine desire to help others is essential.
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screening.
