Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Manage digital radiography (X-ray) systems and intraoral imaging
- Sterilize equipment and maintain OSHA-compliant operatory protocols
- Execute infection control protocols and instrument processing
- Administer nitrous oxide and monitor patient vitals
- Manage patient scheduling and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Train new assistants on practice-specific workflows
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Dental Assistant certification (CDA/RDA)
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Advanced proficiency in digital radiography and Dexis/Eaglesoft
- CPR/BLS certification and nitrous oxide monitoring certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional chairside demeanor and patient communication skills
- Experience with dental implant and orthodontic procedures preferred
