Responsibilities
- Assist the lead dentist and hygienists during examinations, surgeries, and cleanings.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterile and ready.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiology certification required).
- Manage patient records, including updating charts and verifying insurance information.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and CDC sterilization guidelines.
- Order and manage dental supply inventory.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program (CDA or RDA preferred).
- Current state licensure and Radiology certification.
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, OpenDental).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety.
