Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery, restorative work, and cosmetic treatments
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction management, and patient comfort support
- Execute digital X-rays and intraoral imaging with precision and safety protocols
- Manage sterilization and infection control procedures exceeding OSHA standards
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering for 8 operatories
- Train new assistants on practice-specific workflows and technology
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize scheduling efficiency
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification and Texas radiography license
- Minimum 3 years of experience in general/cosmetic dentistry
- Expertise in digital imaging systems (DEXIS, Sirona) and practice management software
- Proven track record in infection control and OSHA compliance
- CPR/BLS certification and DANRA radiology license
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
