Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort
- Verify patient identification and ensure proper specimen labeling and handling
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and infection control standards
- Process specimens for lab analysis and transport to testing facilities
- Provide excellent patient education and support during procedures
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 6 months clinical experience preferred
- Excellent venipuncture skills with proven track record
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
