Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage the front desk operations, including check-in, check-out, and appointment scheduling.
- Verify patient insurance information and accurately collect co-pays and payments.
- Answer incoming phone calls with a professional tone, routing messages to the appropriate medical staff.
- Update and maintain accurate medical records and patient demographics in the EMR system.
- Assist with front-office billing tasks and submitting claims to insurance providers.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and office confidentiality policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a medical receptionist or front office assistant.
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology and basic insurance processes.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus but not mandatory.
