Responsibilities
- Accurately verify prescriptions for completeness and accuracy before dispensing.
- Prepare and package medications according to physician orders and safety protocols.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions regarding medications and insurance.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies.
- Assist the Pharmacist in compounding and labeling medications.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills.
- Valid Texas Pharmacy Technician license.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
