Responsibilities
- Perform precise venipuncture and capillary blood collections across diverse patient demographics
- Process, label, and transport specimens with meticulous attention to regulatory compliance
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to OSHA/HIPAA protocols
- Operate advanced laboratory equipment including automated analyzers
- Provide exceptional patient care during high-volume phlebotomy procedures
- Document all procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with physicians and lab teams for diagnostic accuracy
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency in pediatric, geriatric, and difficult-stick venipuncture
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Demonstrated knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and OSHA regulations
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education and teamwork
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced settings
- Associate's degree in Medical Technology preferred
