Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical equipment for procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile techniques
- Handle biological specimens and surgical materials with precision and care
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal supply management for OR suites
- Document surgical procedures accurately and maintain electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Adhere to OSHA, AORN, and hospital safety protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience in acute care setting
- Expert knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- Strong familiarity with surgical instrumentation and equipment
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and on-call shifts
