The Role:
As a Travel RN, you will provide exceptional patient care across various departments, ensuring the highest standards of medical excellence while enjoying the flexibility of travel.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Patient Care: Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in accordance with hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Collaborate: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Documentation: Accurately and timely document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to critical situations, utilizing advanced life support techniques and critical thinking skills.
- Education: Educate patients and families on disease processes, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards, infection control procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the state of Arizona (or compact state eligibility).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital setting (Med-Surg, ICU, Telemetry, or Emergency preferred).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; CCRN or specialty-specific certification preferred.
- US Citizenship: Proof of US citizenship or legal right to work in the United States is required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to different hospital environments and shifting schedules as needed.
