Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patients in emergency settings using systematic triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate patient disposition
- Document clinical observations and patient interactions in EHR systems
- Provide education to patients and families regarding emergency procedures
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and CMS regulations
- Lead rapid response team activations during critical situations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with relevant experience considered)
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EHR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) certification preferred
