Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity using ESI and Triage Scale protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to coordinate emergency care pathways
- Document clinical encounters with precision in Epic EMR systems
- Provide telephone triage for virtual health consultations
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Lead crisis intervention protocols for high-acuity cases
- Mentor junior nursing staff during peak volume periods
Qualifications
- Active Hawaii RN license with minimum 3 years ER/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Proficiency in triage assessment tools and electronic documentation
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-stress situations
- Experience with Epic EMR systems
- Strong cultural competence in diverse patient populations
